Short curriculum vitae

David has many years’ underwriting and claims experience in the insurance industry at senior management level, and is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute.
He now works as a research consultant for insurers on climate change impacts and is a Visiting Professor at the Benfield UCL Hazard Research Centre at University College London and also at Middlesex University Flood Hazard Research Centre. He is an honorary Research Fellow at the University of Dundee.
He has spoken at insurance and climate change conferences in four continents, and has worked with the UN and NATO, as well as with many governments.
